Sketchbooks are my love letters, treasure chests, my most precious and sincere thoughts and feelings put to paper and shaped into blobs and lines. 

My sketches come in various shapes but the specific look that you can see on this page came as a result of an exercise I created for myself. I decided to only be able to use a black gel pen in my sketchbook, to push myself towards building confidence and limit endless marks, erasers and changes. This limitation taught me to commit to my ideas, trust my hand and gave me a lot of freedom in exploring what I can do with just a black pen. I grew confident and daily sketches slowly turned into full pages and books that I am proud to share with the world.
